Aashadi Ekadashi, an important festival in Maharashtra, marks the beginning of the pilgrimage (waari) to Pandharpur. At Podar International School #Ojhar day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, aiming to educate students about the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival.
The day began with a symbolic waari procession within the school premises, replicating the traditional journey to Pandharpur. Students and teachers participated, carrying palanquins adorned with tulsi plants and chanting devotional songs.
Students presented traditional bhajans dedicated to Lord Vitthal, accompanied by rhythmic dance performances. The lively beats of dhol and taal added to the festive atmosphere.
A speech was delivered by a students explaining the historical and spiritual significance of Aashadi Ekadashi which highlighted its importance in Maharashtrian culture and its role in fostering devotion and community spirit.
A teacher shared the insights into the religious and social aspects of Aashadi Ekadashi, emphasizing its relevance in today's context and encouraging students to appreciate cultural diversity.
Principal of the school Dr.Jasintha Parke Ma'am addressed the assembly by appreciating and motivating all the participants.
The Aashadi Ekadashi celebrations was a memorable blend of cultural immersion and educational insight through music, dance and speech students gained a deeper understanding of Maharashtra's rich cultural heritage and religious traditions. First Transport Committee Meeting - 2024

First Transport Committee meeting was conducted in Podar International school #Ojhar for the session 2024- 25 on 5th July 2024.
The meeting was initiated with the introduction, welcome and felicitation of Mr. Pravin Sonawane RTO Officer Nashik, Mr. Sudhir Singh Senior RTM Nashik Region, Mr. Vijay Bhalerao, Sr. Transport Supervisor by the hands of Principal Dr. Jasintha Parke Ma'am.
Administrative Officer Mr. Vishal Mendhe explained the Agenda of Meeting with brief explanation about -
1. Matters pertaining to safe transportation of school children.
2. Police Verification and Training of all Transport staff.
3. Information about Bus Emergency Evacuation Drill &Training conducted.
4. List of RTO documents of the vehicles & Verification of the same.
5. Information about the Route of Podar International School Ojhar
6. CCTV cameras & GPS System in all school buses.
Mr. Pravin Sonawane( RTO Officer Nashik) personally inspected the implementation of the transport policies of the school with all the required documents.
He appreciated the smooth functioning of the Transport and motivated to keep following the same. Parent member appreciated and thank the school for providing all the necessary facilities to their children and maintaining the same.
Foundation Day Celebration - 2024
“A good education is a foundation for a better future.”
On this auspicious occasion Podar International School #Ojhar celebrated its Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event aimed to commemorate the school's establishment.
The event commenced with an invocation to seek blessings, followed by lighting of lamp and highlighting the significance of the day. Students showcased their talents through various cultural performances, including traditional dances and Dhol with band depicted the rich cultural heritage of our country. The performances were a blend of vibrant colors and rhythmic melodies.
Principal Dr.Jasintha Parke Ma'am expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the founder members for their unwavering dedication and vision in establishing the school. She highlighted the milestones achieved over the years and the continuous growth and success the school has experienced.
Ma'am personally felicitated each founder member with a commemorative Memento. In her address, she praised their contributions and shared anecdotes reflecting their commitment and hard work.

International Yoga Day Celebration - 2024

Podar International School #Ojhar celebrated International Yoga Day with a series of activities aimed at promoting the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of students and staff. The event was a harmonious blend of Yoga prayer, dance performances, and demonstrations of various yoga poses.
The celebration began with an inspiring speech by Teacher who highlighted the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and achieving inner peace. The Principal Dr.Jasintha Parke Ma'am encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines to enhance their overall well-being.
The event officially commenced with a serene Yoga prayer led by our yoga instructor. The prayer set a peaceful tone for the day, invoking a sense of calm and mindfulness among the participants. The chanting of mantras and the meditative atmosphere helped everyone focus their minds and prepare for the yoga session.
Following the Yoga prayer, girls from Grade VI presented a series of dance performances. These performances beautifully illustrated the harmony between movement and stillness, themes central to yoga practice.
The highlight of the celebration was the demonstration of various yoga poses by students under the guidance of Instructor who showcased a series of asanas.Each pose was demonstrated with precision, and participants were guided on the correct form and breathing techniques. The celebration concluded with a group meditation session, allowing participants to relax and internalize the day's experience.

The development of a child can be made possible by keeping all aspects of their personality in mind. In life skill education, the overall personality of a child is taken into consideration. It gives strength to handle any kind of situation and gives the courage to face struggle to achieve any target.
A life skill is used to describe basic skills acquired through learning or knowledge.
Life skills means when the group of psychosocial competencies and interpersonal skills that help people make decisions, build healthy, solve problems, communicate effectively, and think critically and creatively.
An interactive session on Lifeskill was conducted by Podar International School # Ojhar for Students from Grade VII to X. Where learned about different skills which will help them to achieve their goals. Students share their own experiences and participated in this session.
